FUSE CUTOUT - ABFCO121 SERIES
ABFCO121 series fuse cutout is outdoor high voltage protection device. They are connected with the incoming feeder of 10kV~33kV distribution transformer or distribution lines. These are primarly used to protect transformers or lines from short circuits and overlords and switching currents.
The fuse cutout unit is composed of insulators supports and a fuse tube, static contacts is fixed on two sides of insulators supports and moving contact is installed on two ends of fuse tube. The interior of the fuse tube is the extinguishing tube, the exterior is made of phenolic compound paper tube or epoxy glass.
The ARC shortening rod, parallel connector and NEMA brackets are available. The Abimat NCX fuse cutout is interchangeable with S&C, Chance, Cooper and ABB.
Fuse cutout details:
- Top hood: Stainless Steel. Two bolts locking to prevent side movement of hood, contacts or hooks.
- Spring: Stainless Steel, Spring provide sustained contact pressure.
- Upper contacts: silver to silver contacts, Tin to Tin contacts.
- Hook: Galvanized Steel hooks for loadbreak tool.
- Operating ring: Cast bronze/ brass tube casting and pull ring.
- ARC shortening rod: optional.
- Fuse tube: High-strength fiberglass fuse tube coated with ultra-violet inhibitor.
- Ferrule: Cast bronze/brass lower tube casting.
- Flipper: Stainless steel flipper, maintain tension of fuse link during closing and release tension when fuse link melted.
- Trunnion: Cast bronze/brass trunnion, silver to silver lower contacts with stainless steel backup Spring.
- Hinge: Cast bronze/brass hinge for corrosion resistance.
- Terminal: Brass or aluminum parallel connector optional.
- Insulator: Bird proofed design one piece solid porcelain insulator or polymer insulator.
- Mounting Pin: Galvanized mounting pin for NEMA type mounting bracket.
For porcelain insulator, the porcelain body connects with hardware fitting by cement pouring, we use the special cement that has rapid solidification, high mechanical strength, low expansion coefficient and superior weather resistance.
For polymer insulator, the hardware fitting crimped onto fiberglass rod, material of housing and sheds manufacture of high-temperature Vulcanized Silicone Rubber, and the insulator moulded by one piece injection molding. It has good sealing performance and good performance of tracking and erosion resistance.
Our fuse cutout adopts the design feature of single vent, exhaust downwards and outwards when fuse cutout interrupt. Prevent the intrusion of rainwater, avoid damage to the upper line by free gas, and this design can improve the interrupt capacity.
By using a copper arc shortening rod inside the top of the fuse tube, higher interrupt ratings are obtainable. An arc shortening rod is attached to the cap of some fuse tube and lowers the fuse link within the fuse tube. This permits a much shorter arc, resulting in less arc energy, and higher interrupting capacities.
All ferrous parts processed by Stainless steel or hot dip galvanized, it’s zinc coating more than 80um, it has good corrosion resistance.
All copper casting part adopts bronze/brass, it has excellent mechanical strength and excellent conductivity. All contact parts be silver-plated, it adopts convex design on the contact surface, this design can reduce the contact resistance and ensure excellent conductivity. The high-strength memory cooper alloy sheets can ensure contact with lower contact smoothly and without any affecting when fuse drop out.
